Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum singer/songwriter Walker Hayes, like many country music hopefuls do, made his pilgrimage to Nashville in 2005. He got his start with Mercury and Capital Records, where he co-wrote songs for Colton Ford, Rodney Atkins, and others before his first breakthrough song, You Broke Up With Me, which peaked at #9 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.
Fancy Like, released in 2021, became his first #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart and #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100, largely due to going viral on TikTok before being released to country radio. It would go on to snag a Grammy nomination and win Top Country Song in Billboard’s Music Awards.
